My stay at The Halifax Rooftop had its highs and lows. The rooftop deck was a lovely escape, but the lack of functional air conditioning during an unusual heat wave was quite disappointing. The breakfast was a bust as well, but I did appreciate the accommodating host and the quiet ambiance.

I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room. While it had a cozy design, the unusual in-room toilet layout was uncomfortable for someone not very good friends with their travel companion. The stairs were quite a workout too.
Service

The host was very friendly and accommodating with my early check-in request. However, I missed out on breakfast, which felt like a letdown since I didn't have a functional phone to confirm details.

The location is great, with the Caribbean restaurant around the corner offering tempting options. The Hydrostone area has some interesting places, though they required a bit of walking.

I didn't partake in the breakfast due to the circumstances, but the coffee was great, and the self-serve drinks fridge offered a nice touch.

The rooftop deck was a beautiful highlight, though I encountered issues with the A/C. The amenities could use some updating and better maintenance.

My stay at The Halifax Rooftop was quite a mixed bag. The design is stunning, and I enjoyed the hot tub on the rooftop, but several important details left me disappointed, such as the uncomfortable bed. Overall, while it had great potential, it fell short in key areas.

I booked the Superior King Suite and found it to be lacking in quality. The in-room jacuzzi was unsightly, and essential amenities like a usable shower and comfortable bed were missing. Not quite what I expected from a luxury stay.
Service
6.0
The staff presence made it less private than I'd anticipated, which was a bit of a letdown. I didn't actually have breakfast due to high expectations being unmet, but I did appreciate the coffee options available.
Location

The area was nice, with eateries nearby, though I didn't get around to exploring them much. The rooftop deck was a beautiful spot to enjoy the view, despite some issues with the privacy in communal areas.

Although I didn’t indulge in breakfast, I heard it was fantastic. I did enjoy the self-serve drinks fridge, which was a handy and fun feature.

Some facilities were in disrepair, like the hot tub and outdoor balcony, which impacted my overall experience. The lack of privacy for the hot tub and sauna made me less inclined to use them.

While the breakfast was fantastic and the design of the space was beautiful, my experience at The Halifax Rooftop was quite disappointing overall. I stayed in the Double Room with Balcony and faced several frustrations that took away from the promised luxury. It fell short in terms of privacy and basic amenities, which made my stay a bit less enjoyable than I had hoped.
Rooms
5.0
The room lacked essential features like a private bathroom, as it shared a laundry room that was still in use during my visit. There was also a distinct smell of mosquito repellent, and I found the setup quite inconvenient with limited furniture and no mirrors.
Service
6.0
Staff presence was felt throughout my stay, which contributed to a less private atmosphere. However, they did provide me with a warm welcome drink on arrival.
Location
5.0
The location was decent, but the communal areas and noise from guests made it feel less exclusive. I expected more tranquility given the name 'Rooftop'.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight—fantastic quality, which I truly enjoyed. It definitely elevated my mornings, making them more pleasant.
Facilities

Though the rooftop and spa features were attractive, accessibility issues and the state of some areas limited what I could enjoy. I was also disappointed by the lack of a television and outdated amenities.

The service had its ups and downs. I appreciated the friendly approach from one host and the option for self-serve drinks, but I encountered problems with breakfast that left me unimpressed.

I had an overall decent stay at The Halifax Rooftop, with a lovely and inviting atmosphere. The rooftop deck and the luxurious interior finishes really stood out. But there were some hiccups, like a nonfunctional AC during a heatwave and an unusual bathroom situation that made things a bit awkward.

The Deluxe Double Room I stayed in had nice finishes and a charming ambiance, but the unusual setup of the bathroom was less than ideal for privacy. I also faced some discomfort due to the broken air conditioning during hot weather.
